Tim Bovey was born in Australia and lived there for over a decade. He developed a fascination with drawing and painting in high school and continued to study fine art and graphic design through college. He attended the Pacific Northwest College of Art, in Portland, Oregon, earning a BFA, and later received an MFA from the New York Academy of Art in NYC. He now lives and works in Spokane, Washington.
Working with traditional subjects like the human figure and landscapes, he uses a variety of media, such as colored pencils, graphite, charcoal, pastels, and oil paint. While the artist acknowledges the new and innovative possibilities of artificial intelligence (A.I.) in relation to art, he does not use it in the creation of any of his artwork including his graphic design. All artwork is crafted by hand by the artist and dimensions are 9” x 12”, unless noted otherwise. His graphic design works are variable sizes and are created using the Adobe Creative Cloud software.
Also, check out his blog, where he posts his thoughts on museum visits, art history, art-related things, and much more.
